About the Ministry

Knights of the Higher Order Ministries is a Christian ministry in Central Florida helping single parents and their children with the struggles of life.

Our Story

Pastor Andrew S. Trexler founded Knights of the Higher Order Ministries with a simple conviction: that no family should face the struggles of life alone.

In 2020, after years of pastoral work across Central Florida, Pastor T witnessed a troubling pattern. Single parents—faithful, hardworking people—were choosing between paying a utility bill and feeding their children. They weren't looking for judgment; they were looking for someone who understood their burden and could help carry it.

Rather than preach from a distance, Pastor T decided to act. He began meeting directly with families in crisis: learning their names, understanding their specific struggles, and helping in concrete ways. A utility bill paid. Groceries delivered. Housing secured. Month after month, the need was clear, and the solution was clear too—what was needed was a community of believers willing to step in.

That's when KOTHOM began. Not as a large organization with layers of bureaucracy, but as a covenant: a group of people committed to spreading God's Word through action, one family at a time.

Who We Are

We're a small, focused Christian ministry. We believe faith is demonstrated through presence and provision. When a single parent in Central Florida faces a crisis, they shouldn't have to navigate it alone. They should know they can call a real person who will listen, understand, and help.

Pastor T is still there—available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—for prayer, counsel, or someone to talk to. Our team works to meet families where they are, with direct financial assistance for bills, food, clothing, and housing. No paperwork maze. No waiting period. Just real help, real fast.

Why We Do This

The gospel calls us to care for the widow, the orphan, and the vulnerable. Single-parent families often carry deep stress—financial anxiety, isolation, spiritual doubt. Our mission is rooted in two convictions:

First: Faith is lived, not just spoken. We back our words with action—direct gifts to families who need them most.

Second: Dignity matters. We don't help from a place of judgment. We help from a place of humility, recognizing that struggle is part of the human condition, and community is how we survive it.

How We're Growing

Since our founding, we've helped families facing eviction, starvation, and despair. We've grown because of people like you—people who believe the same thing we do: that one family at a time, we can change lives through the love of Christ.

Today, we're looking ahead. We want to expand our reach across Central Florida. We want to serve more families, support more needs, and build a deeper community of believers who understand that the truest expression of faith is love in action.
