The terms for using the Knights of the Higher Order Ministries website, including our current legal status and how giving works today.

Welcome

These are the terms for using this website, operated by Knights of the Higher Order Ministries (KOTHOM), a Christian ministry in Altamonte Springs, Florida, founded and led by Pastor Andrew S. Trexler ("Pastor T"). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If something here doesn't sit right with you, please contact us — we'd rather talk it through than leave you uneasy.

What this site is for

This website does two things: helps single-parent families in Central Florida find real help quickly, and gives supporters a real way to give. It also shares our mission, our pastoral care, and how to reach us.

Knights of the Higher Order Ministries is in the process of formal recognition as a nonprofit organization. As of the date at the top of this page:

  • We have not yet received an IRS determination of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3).
  • We have not yet completed incorporation as a Florida nonprofit corporation, obtained a federal Employer Identification Number, or registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to solicit contributions.

Because of that, nothing on this site should be read as saying that a gift to us is tax deductible. Please don't claim a deduction for a gift to KOTHOM until we tell you that has changed. We'll update this page and our giving pages the moment any of that changes.

Using this site

You're welcome to browse this site, read about our work, and reach out for help or to give. Please don't:

  • Use the site in a way that could damage it, disable it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or the systems behind it.
  • Use anything on this site to impersonate KOTHOM, Pastor T, or anyone connected with the ministry.

No payment processing yet

The "Become a Knight" and "Legacy Donations" buttons on this site currently open an email to us. We don't process payments through this website. Any gift you make happens by check, in person, or by direct arrangement with us — never by entering card information into this site.

Content and the Knights of the Higher Order mark

The text, images, and the Knights of the Higher Order mark on this site belong to KOTHOM or are used with permission. You're welcome to link to this site or quote it with attribution. Please don't reproduce it wholesale, or use our name or mark to suggest an endorsement, without asking us first.

No warranty

We keep this site as accurate and current as we reasonably can, but we can't promise it's error-free or always available. We provide it "as is," without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, KOTHOM isn't liable for damages arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Anything on this site that links elsewhere — for example, to an official filing agency — leaves our control the moment you click it. We're not responsible for the content or practices of other sites.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the ministry grows and its legal status changes. We'll update the "last updated" date whenever we do.
